RIVERSIDE -- Leaders of this Dayton suburb hope that an 18.5- acre piece of land which has been home to gritty, dilapidated businesses will be reborn as a commercial site appealing to the nearby military community.

The site, dubbed the Center of Flight development, is across the street from the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force and Wright- Patterson Air Force Base. City officials hope the development can cash in on the museum's 1.3 million annual visitors and the business that the base's 22,000 employees and defense acquisition functions attract.
