The number of Dayton-area properties facing foreclosure last year climbed 145 percent, a mortgage research company said Tuesday.
Properties in the local metropolitan statistical area that were foreclosed on reached 7,800 last year compared to 3,180 in 2006, said Daren Blomquist, a spokesman for the Irvine, Calif.-based RealtyTrac. This means that nearly 2.1 percent of the households in Montgomery, Miami, Greene and Preble counties were in foreclosure last year.See the full content of this document
