COLUMBUS -- Attorney General Marc Dann asked the Ohio Supreme Court to dismiss a legal challenge Wednesday from House Speaker Jon Husted, R-Kettering, and Senate President Bill Harris aimed at overthrowing Gov. Ted Strickland's controversial veto of legislation limiting consumer damages.
In his request, Dann said Husted and Harris lacked the legal standing to file the challenge and that even if they did they should have started out in a lower court. The challenge "is little more than an attempt by certain members of the legislature to draw the Supreme Court into a political dispute between the legislature and the executive branch," Dann's filing said.See the full content of this document
