Council Cuts City Budget by $1.3 Million

SPRINGBORO -- City workers would still receive raises next year, but the council is expected to approve a 2010 operating budget tonight, Nov. 19, cutting $1.3 million in expenses.

The city expects to raise about $7.9 million, or $905,713 less in general fund revenues than this year, while cutting spending to about $8.2 million, according to the budget proposed by City Manager Chris Thompson.
