DAYTON -- Miami Valley Hospital has owned physician practices for years. But the region's largest hospital encountered unexpected push- back from patients over billing practices in recent months after it absorbed Miami Valley Cardiologists, a large cardiology practice.
It was the hospital's first experiment with "commingling" a standalone, hospital-owned physician building outside the hospital's walls, in effect making it a hospital outpatient setting.See the full content of this document
