DAYTON -- This Christmas season, creches from the University of Dayton's Marian Library collection of 1,500 creches, are going on the road.
The collection of Nativity scenes, one of the largest in the U.S., is being loaned to 30 locations, including the Dayton Art Institute, Bergamo Center in Beavercreek, the UD campus and several local parishes. Sharing the creche collection with the community allows others to enjoy the artistry and diversity of the creches -- some dating back to the 1800s -- while reminding people that the creches are more than pieces of art.See the full content of this document
