Cleveland Tries for First Back-to-Back Wins Since 2003

Head coach Romeo Crennel was asked this week why the Browns have struggled in recent seasons to win back-toback games. He had the perfect answer, saying, "Just winning one has been a challenge in Cleveland." The Browns, who visit Oakland on Sunday, have not won consecutive games under Crennel, now in his third season. Butch Davis was the coach the last time it happened, in 2003.

That October, quarterback Tim Couch enjoyed a career night as the Browns stunned the Steelers in Pittsburgh 33-13. Back home the next week, they topped the Raiders 13-7, improving to 3-3 before the season went sour.
