CELINA -- The man accused of causing the deaths of four Mercer County teens early Saturday, March 15, entered not guilty pleas Monday, March 17, to four counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and one misdemeanor count of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Nicholas Schwieterman, 22, of Chickasaw, appeared in Celina Municipal Court for an initial appearance before Judge Jim Scheer. Schwieterman wore an orange jail coat and gray-and-white striped pants and appeared shaken and somber during the hearing. Scheer accepted the pleas and continued bond for Schieterman at 10 percent of $1 million.
