Two years ago on a cold, crisp fall day, about 50 children from the congregation of Temple Beth Or gathered outside to stamp their initials into a piece of silver. It was a celebration of Yom Kippur, and that silver was provided by local sculptors David Brand and Sandra Picciano of Mythic Silver.
"Our silver anniversary was coming up, and I had read a beautiful passage in the Book of Isaiah about the refining of silver.
