WEST CARROLLTON -- During an Aug. 26 open house to roll in West Carrollton's new fire engine, city Mayor Jeff Sanner recognized the fire department for its continued partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and proclaimed September, Fire Fighter Appreciation Month.

Sanner commended the department for its commitment in helping the MDA in its battle to eradicate neuromuscular diseases.
