The diagnosis felt like a death sentence to Charlene Wenning. "There's nothing that can really prepare you for the diagnosis of breast cancer," the 55-year-old Mercer County resident said. "It strikes at the very heart of your being."

But during her treatment at Good Samaritan Hospital in 2002, Wenning found comfort and guidance in Ann Lensch, Good Samaritan's breast care coordinator.
