Young people blossom when they're encouraged to develop their creativity. At next week's "Artists in Bloom," we'll all have a chance to help with that process and -- at the same time -- pick up unusual artwork and tips on flower arranging.

The idea was planted by the Garden Club of Dayton's Debbie Proud, who thought it would be great for her organization to come up with a community project that would incorporate a flower show. The group, founded in 1922, is affiliated with the Garden Club of America.
