SPRINGBORO -- School Superintendent David Baker and Treasurer Timothy Dettwiller got pay hikes last week, leaving both shy of the district's top earners.

The Springboro City Community Schools Board of Education gave Baker a one-time payment of $3,960 -- 4 percent of the $99,000 salary he agreed to after the board rehired him after his retirement last spring. Unlike Baker, Dettwiller, whose salary was increased 5 percent, to $99,183, isn't collecting retirement benefits.
