Kathi Haugrud knew she'd found her vocation when she began writing a health blog, but to Haugrud it is much more than a career. It's a chance to share her experience with perimenopause, a natural part of aging for women that can be difficult.

"I started writing a blog because I started going through perimenopause and there really wasn't anything out there on the topic," said Haugrud, who writes The Perimenopause Blog -- Yes, it's Real and No You're Not Going Crazy (www.theperi menopauseblog.com) under the pen name Magnolia Miller. "I started writing it as an outlet and as I continued to write, I developed an audience. After a couple of years, I began to realize that there was a real need for women like me.
