The University of Dayton basketball program lost a promising prospect when it cut ties with the troubled Jesse Berry, but the Flyers still have enough incoming talent to withstand that blow, a prominent recruiting analyst said.

The 6-foot-1 shooting guard was the second-leading prep scorer in Indiana when he averaged 27 points as a junior, and he earned scholarship offers from Butler and Cincinnati before committing to Dayton. He then averaged 23.2 points as a senior.
