HUBER HEIGHTS -- Council members voted 8-0 to begin the process of paying a contractor a little more than $8 million for the cost of constructing Benchrock Parkway, a largely unused road that runs through a stalled golf course development.

The road, which city Engineer John Geiger described as "the best road we've ever built," is closed, and is likely to stay closed for at least the next two or three years, city officials said.
