BEAVERCREEK -- Wins have been at a premium during John Ahrns' first two years as Beavercreek's boys basketball coach.

So Friday's 52-49 overtime victory over Northmont was especially sweet. It broke a three-game losing streak to make Creek 6-10 for the year, 3-5 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference Central Division. The Beavers had five wins in the previous two seasons combined.
