KETTERING -- Wright-Patterson Air Force Base officials plan a business workshop in late April as a tutorial for companies that want to become contractors for the Air Force.

The half-day session is to take place at a time and location off base that are still to be worked out, said Jacque Fisher, a base official who is helping oversee a $332 million construction project at Wright-Patterson in preparation for programs to be relocated there from other bases by September 2011. Those include sensors and aerospace medicine research programs from Texas, Arizona, Massachusetts and other locations that will bring Wright-Patterson a net increase of about 1,200 jobs.
