DAYTON -- Piqua's Kristin King, a forward on the 2006 Olympic bronze medal-winning women's hockey team, will be the guest speaker at the 19th Rae Burick Women in Sports Award banquet tonight at Fairmont High School's Trent Arena.

The event honors the top female high school athlete in the Miami Valley. The winner of the award -- chosen for both athletic and academic achievement -- receives a $1,500 scholarship and a handmade trophy. The four runners-up each receive $375 scholarships. This event, sponsored by Fifth Third Bank, is a community service project of the Kiwanis Club of Dayton, benefiting the Kiwanis Club of Dayton Foundation and The Children's Medical Center.
