OXFORD -- Blame it on Doug Penno. The sincegraduated Miami guard out of Alter High was the guy who not only knocked Akron out of a sure trip to last year's NCAA tournament, but out of the entire postseason, with a desperation 3-point bank shot at the buzzer in the championship game of Mid-American Conference Tournament.

After the shot was replayed seemingly hundreds of times on ESPN, Miami joined the NCAA Tournament bracket while the 26-7 Zips got sucker-punched a second time when even the NIT snubbed them.
