NEW LEBANON -- Johnny Adams still doesn't have proper high- jumping form, but the Dixie High School junior can relate to what it takes for proper takeoff.

"It's kind of like going up for a dunk on a fastbreak," Adams said. "But in basketball I slow down and take a stutter step, which you can't do in the high jump. I'm trying to get it all together, but there's so much more to it than I thought."
