CINCINNATI -- Just about everybody in the crowd of 27,000 raised their hand Sunday, Nov. 2, when Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama asked how many of them earn less than $250,000 a year. "That, by the way, includes 98 percent of small businesses and 99.9 percent of plumbers," he said, getting a laugh from the crowd at his final Ohio stop of the day.

Pearl Harbor Project Design Rooted in Kettering

When ground is broken Wednesday, Nov. 5, for a new $32 million museum and visitor center at the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, there will be a local connection. The project manager and designer of the historic project is Bill Hacker, 63, the son of Kettering artist Homer Hacker, and a 1963 graduate of Fairmont High School in Kettering.
