He's running for re-election against an opponent whom he beat in 2002 by a ratio of more than two-to-one. His House District, which covers much of eastern Greene County, is overwhelmingly Republican.

State and federal health officials urged healthy people between 2 and 64 not to get flu shots this year so that the limited vaccine supply can go to those at highest risk for complications from flu. The Ohio Department of Health also was `strongly recommending that all health-care providers give vaccine only to the highest- risk individuals,' spokesman Kristopher Weiss said Wednesday.
